Prayer Meeting Wednesday Dec 22 / Info regarding blood donation

On behalf of Tai and his family - sincere thanks to all of you who are thinking of him and praying for him.

Thank you to all of you who came to Tai's prayer meeting at St. Nicholas.
It was touching to see so many people being supportive of Tai and our family.  We are lucky to be a part of such a great and loving community.  We are glad that you are a part of our lives.

For those of you interested in directed blood donation for Tai, here is some information:

Tai has A + blood.

To date he has needed 4 units of blood.  It is unclear if he will need more in the days ahead.

• Please contact the Hoag Hospital Blood Bank at 949 764 5621 and indicate that you are interested in making a "directed donation" to Tai Bui who is in CCU-bed 15.  
• Appointments are required and they are scheduled M-F between 8 and 3:45.
• After verifying that you meet the requirements for a safe blood donation (including age >17, weight > 110 lbs, have valid photo ID) and meet medical restrictions (such as no recent tattoos or piercings, no hepatitis, no HIV, etc.), the collection process takes approx 45 minutes.  There are also travel restrictions which vary depend on where you traveled to and when . The blood bank can answer more specific questions.
• The screening / processing times takes approximately 2 days.  
• If Tai does not need the blood then your precious donation would go towards other needy patients.
